End User License Agreement
Last updated: 10 July 2026
This agreement covers the PitchDance application and its plugins (VST3, AU, and CLAP), together the software. By installing or using the software, you agree to these terms. The software is licensed to you, not sold. Jacques Marais keeps ownership of it.
Your license
When you buy PitchDance you get a perpetual, non-exclusive, personal license to use the software. You may install and activate it on the machines you personally own or control, for your own work. The license is tied to you, the purchaser.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, rent, sublicense, or give away your license key. Keys are for the purchaser only.
- Redistribute the software itself, whether on its own or bundled into something else.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except to the narrow extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction.
Updates
Updates within the 1.x version series are included with your purchase. Future major versions may be offered as separate paid upgrades. We are not obligated to release a set number of updates.
Trial
PitchDance offers a 14-day free trial so you can evaluate it before buying. During the trial the same terms apply, except the license is temporary and limited to evaluation. The trial may include reminders or limits, and it ends after 14 days unless you buy a license.
Termination
This license ends automatically if you break its terms. If your purchase is refunded, the license is revoked as described in our refund policy. When the license ends, you must stop using the software and remove it from your machines.
Warranty disclaimer
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk. Always keep backups of your audio projects.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the total liability of Jacques Marais for any claim arising from the software is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost work or lost profits. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
