Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These terms cover your use of the PitchDance website at pitchdance.com and any account you create here. The PitchDance software itself is covered by a separate End User License Agreement. By using this site or making an account, you agree to what follows.
The service
PitchDance is a pitch and time editor for vocals, sold as a one-time purchase for macOS. This website lets you learn about the app, buy a license, and manage your purchase through an account. PitchDance is made by Jacques Marais, an independent developer.
Accounts
Your account is where you see your license key and download builds after buying; the free trial can be downloaded without one. Keep your login details private and use an email address you can actually reach, since that is how we send license keys and account notices. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@pitchdance.com if you think someone else has access to it.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- break into, overload, or probe the site for weaknesses;
- copy, resell, or share license keys that are not yours;
- use the site to do anything unlawful or to harm others.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle processes your payment, handles any sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoice. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. For what happens after you buy, see our refund policy.
Intellectual property
The PitchDance name, this website, and the software are owned by Jacques Marais. Buying a license gives you the right to use the software under the EULA. It does not transfer any ownership of the software or the site.
Disclaimers and liability
The website is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be online or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will try to give account holders reasonable notice by email.
